Alternatively, documents can be identified by their pathname onto the host server so reducing the potential replication of storage space.


Version control
Built-in version control allows documents to be shared and updated in a controlled manner. Users check documents in and out so that only one person can make updates at one time. Checked out documents can still be viewed by other team members.


Audit Trail

System security

Access to iport PartnerPort is closely controlled by a named user list. Support for Secure Socket Layer (SSL) and integration with other security systems such as Active Directory can also be offered.


Project security

Once logged in to iport PartnerPort, a role-based security system determines the relationship between the user and the information that is available to him/her. Individual users can also be granted more or less rights than the group they belong to giving even greater flexibility. The iport Relationship Manager determines whether users have read/write/delete privileges to data giving system managers a huge amount of flexibility in setting up user profiles. Access to information is at data field level and data can be mixed from a variety of sources (both from within iport and from other Project Management/ERP/Finance systems) on the same iport PartnerPort screen to give a flexible, productive, dynamic user interface.
